Taking advantage of Roth IRA conversions in 2010

As of Jan. 1, 2010, all taxpayers are eligible to convert a traditional IRA to a Roth IRA, regardless of income level. In the past, taxpayers with high income levels were not eligible for the conversion. In addition to conversions, all taxpayers may now choose to roll over distributions from qualified retirement plans, such as 401(k) plan, to a Roth IRA. In this Grant Thornton webcast, you learn the pros and cons of a Roth IRA and how to make important decisions that are required in 2010.

Our featured presenters were Eddie Adkins and Justin Ransome, both Tax Partners in our National Tax Office in Washington, DC.
