As a supplemental question to the November 2009 Grant Thornton Business Optimism Index survey, we asked senior U.S. business executives the following question:
When do you think the economy will come out of recession?
One-third of respondents (33%) said that the economy will come out of recession by the end of the first half of 2010, nearly half (46%) said sometime in the second half of 2010 and the remaining 22 percent said not until 2011 or later.
